A Message From Our Volunteer Coordinator

Dear New and Returning WPRC Parents,

Well Everyone, looks like we might just be skiing on thanksgiving!

The ski season is upon us and I would like to welcome all the families to WPRC. My name is Mark Tulenko and I will be the Head Volunteer Coordinator for the upcoming season.

We have been members for approx 9 years and I have 2 boys that are in the club ages 13 and 10. This has been a great experience for our entire family and we have made many friends throughout the years.

As you all know, we have 8 races this season. The first race is scheduled for Saturday December 29th..

As part of the commitment to the club we ask each family to volunteer at least 3 times throughout the season to earn back your $300 volunteer fee. AND THE BEST PART- You get a front row seat for the race!

There are various volunteer opportunities which are listed on the WPRC website.  If you have questions about any of the volunteer positions don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

One of the most misunderstood volunteer positions is that of a gate judge. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a very difficult position. You just need to be able to watch a few gates and make sure the kids ski around them.

You also have the ability to split this day with a family member to minimize time spent on the hill.

Our coaches spend their weekends training and instructing our kids in preparation for race day. It would be a shame if the race could not happen because we are short a few helpers. So, please go to the website and sign up today!!!

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

See you on the slopes

Mark Tulenko
